Guardianship CreditsNGA’s Colloquium is approved for Registered and Master Guardian continuing education credits by the Center for Guardianship Certification. A Certificate of Attendance is now required by the CGC as part of their recertification process.Legal CreditsContinuing Legal Education credit will be applied for in Illinois and the surrounding states of Kentucky, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota and Michigan.Obtaining CreditsThis Colloquium program has a total of 6.5 potential credit hours. Because each accrediting body must approve the program prior to assigning credits, the specific number of credits accepted by each state will not be confirmed until the Colloquium. Keep in mind that not all hours may be deemed acceptable for all areas of education.Certificate of AttendanceFees charged for a Certificate of Attendance vary from $10 to$25 depending on the type of credit, and are based in part on the costs NGA incurs to be accredited. Fees may be paid in advance by completing the Certificate Request Form included with this brochure and found on the website. NGA must also receive your attendance sign in sheets, provided at the Colloquium, to issue a Certificate of Attendance. All certificates will be sent via email or U.S. mail following the Colloquium.A general certificate will also be available for purchase by individuals who wish to pursue credits from states that were not pre-approved. Those purchasing a general certificate can use the document to follow procedures in applying for CEU approval on their own in their state.State Specific Guardianship CreditsNGA is also seeking approval for CEU from California, Florida, Texas and Washington, where there are state specific requirements for guardianship certification.
