Barbara Matlak, RG

In 1989 Barbara Matlak began her career with Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries (LMM.), first at Help On Wheels, then with Services to Adult Care Homes, and since 1990 with Adult Guardianship Services (AGS) in Cleveland, Ohio. In the nearly eighteen years since, she has made large contributions to all the programs of which she has been a part.

Ms. Matlak has earned certification as a Registered Guardian through the Center for Guardianship Certification. She also obtained her Certificate in Gerontology in 1999 and her Certificate in Volunteer Program Management in 2001. As a member of the Ohio Guardianship Association, National Guardianship Association and the Bioethics Network of Ohio, her dedication to helping those who need it most is undeniable.

In her current position as the Volunteer Manager at AGS, her ability to coordinate between individuals with various mental disabilities and volunteers, attorneys, probate court staff, health care staff and physicians is beneficial to all involved. In addition to her expertise and experience in running a volunteer based program, she offers a unique combination of sincere compassion, skilled communicator and passion for giving of herself making her an enormous asset to AGS and to the countless individuals she’s helped.
