Rebecca M. Pryor, MSM, MA, RG

Rebecca M. Pryor, MSM, MA, RG, holds Master’s Degrees in Adult Education
and Business Management. She is a Certified Civil Law Mediator,
Registered Lobbyist and Registered Guardian. Her career as a nonprofit
executive, management consultant, and volunteer in the areas of child
advocacy and guardianship for at-risk elderly spans the past 36 years.
She is the founder of Indiana Advocates for Children and led the 16 year
statewide development of the Court Appointed Special Advocate /
Volunteer Guardian Ad Litem initiative in Indiana.
Mrs. Pryor is the President of Creative Approaches LTD, a consulting
firm that specializes in helping nonprofit organizations to excel in
strategic planning, program development, capacity building and fund
raising.
For the past 5 years, she has worked as a program consultant with Saint
Margaret Mercy Hospital and the Lake Superior Court to develop,
implement and fund the Indiana Volunteer Advocates for Seniors Program.
The VAS Program is the first volunteer limited guardian program
initiative in the state and is being developed as the best practices
model for the Courts and hospital healthcare providers. As the program
consultant, she lobbied passage of Volunteer Advocates for Seniors
(2004) and Volunteer Advocates for Incapacitated Adults (2006)
legislation in Indiana.
Among the many honors she has received for her work are: Indiana
Sagamore of the Wabash, Indiana Commission for Women Torchbearer,
Service to Children and Youth Award, Distinguished Service Recognition
–Indianapolis Bar Association, Christamore House Outstanding Service
Award, Child Advocate of the Year Award, Youth Advocate of the Year
Award, 2004 Indiana Achievement Award for Innovation, Indianapolis Woman
Magazine - Women Behind the Scenes, and the Indianapolis Business
Journal – Corporate Citizen Award.
She has served on Indiana Governor's Task Force on Abused and Neglected
Children, the Indiana Governor's Task Force on Adoption Reform, and the
Indiana Supreme Court Public Trust Task Force.
