Honorable Eric Brown Eric Brown was elected as Judge of the Franklin County Probate Court in November 2008 after serving nearly four years as a Judge on the Franklin County Common Pleas Court. Judge brown brings a wide range of experience to the probate bench. He worked as an attorney in private practice for more than 13 years, as an assistant Attorney General for 11 years under Attorneys General Lee Fisher and Betty Montgomery, and as a Common Pleas Court Magistrate. He held several leadership positions with the Ohio Attorney general, working to protect consumers and helping to lead Ohio’s tobacco litigation. He has a long record of professional and public service that includes nearly 15 years as an elected public school-board member in Greater Cleveland. Judge brown has been married for more than 36 years to
Marilyn Brown, who in 2006, in her first time on the ballot was elected
Franklin County Commissioner. The Browns have two daughters, one who
works in New York City as an event planner, and the other who graduated
from OSU Law School and works for the Industrial Commission in Columbus.
Judge Brown and his wife live in the Short North area of Columbus and
enjoy spending their time with their two grandsons. |
