Greg Mullowney, NMG

Greg Mullowney, a National Master Guardian, has been Executive Director of Louisiana Guardianship Services since 1994.

He graduated with a BS in Biology from Carroll College in Helena, Montana in 1978, and received his law degree from the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana, in 1981. After graduating from law school, he clerked for the Montana Supreme Court, and served as Deputy Yellowstone County Attorney in Billings, Montana, for six years, primarily prosecuting crimes against children.

In 1989, he moved to Seattle and directed the Secure Visitation Program for the local divorce courts at Childhaven, a not-for-profit therapeutic child care agency. He moved to New Orleans in 1993, and in August 2005 was forced to relocate to Baton Rouge by Hurricane Katrina.

He served on the board of directors of NGA for seven years, and as President in 2005. He has also served as a Trustee for the National Guardianship Foundation, now the Center for Guardianship Certification.
