NGA offers guardianship-specific learning opportunities for anyone with an interest in guardianship, including webinars and the annual National Conference on Guardianship. In addition, many state guardianship associations host their own events, as do other organizations with ties to guardianship.

This two-day conference provides a total of twelve hours of continuing education to certified professional guardians, attorneys who work with guardians, social workers, and case managers. Each day is six credit hours. The cost is $400 for the 2-day conference with breakfast and lunch included; or $40 per credit hour if registering for individual sessions. The conference starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM each day. Topics include Succession planning for CPGs; Best Practices for Case Managment – Setting up a new case; Joel’s Law; Palliative Care; Immigration Process; Cultural Diversity Issues and Locating Interpretive Assistance; Pre-need Funeral & Cemetery Arrangments; Medicaid update; and more.
